MENS MINISTRIES

Men's Ministries is about connecting men in and outside the church community

“Deep in his heart, every man wants to be a part of a team that does something great. Just look at the movies men adore. A team comes together to save the world, steal the money, or win the championship. The Lord of the Rings, X-Men, The Matrix, Saving Private Ryan, Oceans Eleven, Remember The Titans… feature a band of brothers who attempt the dangerous, the outrageous, the impossible. Each member of the team has a specialty and makes a vital contribution. A band of brothers. Though he may not realize it, every man longs to be a part of one” (Why Men Hate Church, D. Murrow).

Men’s groups are not about having a club or a guild (people with common interests or goals); it’s about integrating men into church. It’s about camaraderie, affirmation, personal development and spiritual growth.

WOMENS MINISTRIES

The 2009 theme for women in the Assemblies of God is The Intentional Woman. I believe this is a strong theme, and I love the Scripture verse that we chose to go with the theme: "Don't live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants" (Ephesians 5:17, The Message).

An intentional woman works at becoming proactive instead of just letting life happen to her. The opposite of being intentional is being haphazard or purposeless about our thoughts, decisions, and actions-merely reacting to life's unexpected circumstances. Are you living as an intentional woman?

The intentional woman with a heart for God has a sense of God's purpose for her, and is living true to her personality and giftedness. She accepts what she cannot change about her season and circumstances, making courageous and deliberate decisions about the things she can change. She is not self-absorbed to the point of leaving others out of her life, nor does she live her life through or for others. The attitudes and pressures of other people do not unduly influence her. She is focused and directed, not floundering or driven.

ROYAL RANGERS:

Facts About Royal Rangers
Purpose of the Royal Rangers Ministry

1.       To evangelize boys for Christ

2.       To develop the total boy for Christ (spiritually, physically, mentally and socially)

3.       To keep boys in our churches

Our Aim and Goals for Royal Rangers

To instruct, challenge and inspire our boys in the areas of Bible doctrine, Christian service, moral conduct and basic beliefs of our church through interesting activities boys enjoy.

Our Goals

1.       To instruct in Bible Doctrine. When a boy participates in Royal Rangers, he should have a basic knowledge of what the Bible teaches.

2.       To challenge for Christian service. When a boy completes this program he should be ready to take his place in the area of Christian service where God wants him to be

3.       To inspire a belief in the fundamental beliefs of our church. When a boy completes this program he should be Christian in belief for the remainder of his life.

4.       To satisfy the boy's basic need for activity. A boy engaged in this program should have enough interesting activities to do to prevent him from being tempted to engage in unwholesome activities

5.                The cultivation of Christ-like personal character and high moral standards in leaders.

YOUTH

The modern emphasis of the Church in the Great Commission has been to "go." However, the central imperative of Matthew 28:18-20 is "make disciples." "Go(ing)" is part of normal life. In other words, when one becomes a believer, he immediately sets forth on a journey called the "Great Commission." So "in going" to school, make disciples. In going to work, make disciples. In going to church, make disciples. In all going, make disciples.

The ultimate challenge in every generation of the church is to "make disciples." While every culture has its obstacles, the imperative remains... win, build and send disciples--disciplined followers of Jesus Christ.

FINE ARTS

Fine Arts is...

Fine Arts Festival is a discipleship tool of national youth ministries designed to "help students discover, develop and deploy their ministry gifts."

Beginning in September each year, over 70,000 junior and senior high school students begin preparing their entries for the District and National Fine Arts Festivals. Students may enter as many as 35 of the 52 categories offered in 7 main divisions: Art, Communication, Drama, Exhibition, Instrumental, Vocal, and Writing.

JBQ  - JUNIOR BIBLE QUIZ

Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ) was created and designed to help children develop a love for the Bible and an understanding that its truth can guide their lives daily. Junior Bible Quiz offers a fun, exciting way to motivate children to understand the all-important truths in God’s Word. Through cooperative learning, children work together on teams to learn and understand the questions and answers from the Bible Fact-Pak. Then using cooperative competition the children meet with other teams for a fun quizzing match. There are twenty questions in a match, with two teams of quizzers trying to beat each other to the buzzers to get the first shot at the answers. It has been said that JBQ is the fastest growing discipleship program in children’s ministry.
